As the title says above this is my
sanctuary. Within these pages I will share some of my
thoughts, my favorite pictures that I have taken and pretty much
anything else that comes to mind. I'm making lots of changes
daily, so keep checking back.
A Little More About Me
I've been learning
and working on computers now for about 8 years and I
really find it facsinating. I also find working with
computers very comparable to my learning and attempts
at understanding the Universe and how things are all
connected. I still consider myself new
at constructing this web site as there are constantly new
things to learn and with also being a mom, having a domestic partner
and working full time I don't have as much time as I would like to
learn everything I want to learn.
Lots of people have webpages
for different reasons. My main reason is for the learning
of how it works. I have learned a little about html, a
little about sitebuilders and web page editors and a lot about
me. One of the main revelations I have had is that I am
no different from anyone else or they from me in the ways that
really count. We all have our hopes, dreams, fears and
something else that most of us can't quite put our finger on.
I personally think that "something else" is Lefgren's 4
Psychological Needs. They are:
- To Know and be Known,
- To Love and be Loved,
- Mutual Interdependence, and
- Meaning in one's life.
How we find or
accomplish any of those is personal and will be different for each
of us. They will also tend to change constantly, especially
what is meaningful in one's life. This of course, is just my
opinion and thoughts. In my search for meaning as well as self
expression I have explored a lot of different avenues. My most
recent one being creating Mandalas. For a better understanding
of what Mandalas are click here. This past spring I was
fortunate enough to be able to go on a cross country trip, visit the
Grand Canyon and take a lot of great pictures. After reading about making
Mandalas from digital photographs I just had to give it a try with some of
the pictures I took from my trip. Below
is my favorite one and the original picture I used to make the Mandala.
Enjoy your visit.
